Get Korean Glass Skin In 7 Easy Steps
Step 1: Double Cleansing - Oil & Foam
The most important part of creating glass skin is starting with a clean and clear base! That’s why cleansing effectively is extremely important. To get a deep clean and remove any makeup or oil residue from the skin, start with a cleansing oil. Contrary to popular belief, oil cleansers are actually safe for all skin types including oily skin, as the oil is washed off in the following step.
Once the oil has done the heavy lifting, the next step is to remove the oil residue and any lasting impurities with a foaming cleanser. The type of cleanser you use should be specific to your skin type, but aim for something that leaves the skin moisturized. Foam cleansers use their bubbling action to lift dirt and pollutants out of the pores, leaving you with a fresh base!

Step 2: Toner
Toner is important in balancing the skin’s pH level which is often offset by the cleansing stage of your skincare routine - resetting your skin’s pH helps to reduce and prevent irritation, as well as preparing your skin to be more receptive to the following products.

Step 3: Sheet Mask
Moisture is considered one of the most important parts of skincare in Korea, moisture is what allows the skin to remain stretchy and supple, giving it a youthful appearance and preventing signs of aging. Alongside that, soothing is important to prevent irritation that can turn into breakouts and acne. Sheet masks are an essential part of every routine as they support both hydration and soothe the skin with their cool sensation!

Step 4: Serum
Serums are often overlooked in skincare routines but they are actually very effective, powerful products due to their highly concentrated formulas containing lots of beneficial active ingredients. Once you’ve identified which nutrients your skin needs, using a serum to deliver them is extremely important.

Step 5: Eye Serum
When caring for the eye area, it’s important to use products that are delicate enough to work with the thin and sensitive skin, so using a dedicated eye serum is recommended. Eye serums can help strengthen this delicate skin and give your eyes a brighter, more awake appearance.

Step 6: Cream
Now the skin has been prepped and nourished, it’s time to seal it all in with a slightly heavier moisturizer that will create a protective barrier on top of your skin. A good moisturizer should be hydrating and somewhat thick, but not so heavy that it suffocates the skin.
